The Entrepreneurs Battle: Intellect V’s Creativity – by Melanie Midegs

Photo on 27-03-2015 at 1.06 pm #2 Intellect & Creativity. Logic & Emotion. Control & Flexibility. Giving & Receiving. Life can feel like it’s a continual balancing of the scales. However, when we get the balance right the outcomes are phenomenal, especially for Entrepreneurs. When we get the balance right everything starts to flow and feels light and effortless… and that’s what we are all striving for right? To help the world, in our own way, so that we can live the lifestyle that we choose. Continue reading

KISS… Keep It Simple Sweetheart

K-I-S-S

I was reminded indirectly the other day to Keep It Simple Sweetheart. KISS, the best word ever! I have never forgotten this acronym since someone mentioned it to me years ago. (Just for a bit of trivia I also heard on the radio that humans kiss for an average of 14 days straight during their lifetime… totally off topic, but I thought it was interesting!)

The world is such an amazing place with so many possibilities and opportunities. Butterflies pop Continue reading

Hello… this is your Throat Chakra talking

Throat Chakra

This morning I woke up feeling a little bit heady. You know when you feel like a cold may be coming on –  head’s a little foggy, can’t think straight, slight headache, some soreness in my ears, but I especially had a sore throat and my glands felt swollen. Instead of grabbing some paracetamol to make me feel better, I started to explore what my body was bringing to my attention.

I instantly connected my sore throat with the Throat Chakra, Continue reading

Shadows of the Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra is a very personal and sacred energy centre within the body. It can be found about 5cm below your belly button. It’s represented by the colour orange, which personally is a favourite of mine. As it falls around the womb and reproductive center of both women and men, it makes sense that this energy centre is related to relationships, family, birthing of creativity, pleasure, fun, joy, sensuality and nurturing. It all sounds so yummy! Continue reading

Are someone else’s shoes in your closet?

Sensitivity, Empathy & Compassion. I have now read hundreds of faces and I have seen so many clients who are protecting themselves by literally ‘hardening up’. This hardening can hold back our deep emotions, almost pretending like they don’t exist. We can harden up because it may feel easier to keep our true feelings buried deep inside rather than expressing them to those around us. Hardening up can allow us to ignore how we feel and focus on those around us instead of ourselves. Hardening up can literally make us hard, numb, and unhappy. It can become hard to laugh, hard to cry, hard to relax, hard to go with the flow. It is now time for us to start being easy on ourselves. We need to loosen up and become comfortable with who we really are. Continue reading

Balancing Act

Has it been that long! Phew! I feel like I’ve just come out of some pretty hard yards. However, I’ve woken up this morning feeling like I’m back. I’m back, I’m back, I’m back! 🙂 I can feel every part of my body and am very much in touch with my feminine energy today… how much I have missed it! On reflection I can see how over the last month with all my action and ‘doing’ to keep things going, I lost my feminine connection. I’m pretty sure it became lost in the piles of papers, to-do lists and life choices that have had to be made. During the last week I can’t believe how much I’ve been sleeping – nearly 10 hours everyday, which is very unusual for me. Although I obviously needed it… rest and rejuvenation can’t be ignored. Chicken Connection

Yesterday a chicken came to my front door. This may seem usual if you live on a farm, or have chickens of your own, but I live in the inner city suburbs of Brisbane… only 7kms to the heart of the city! This chicken was so friendly, coming straight up to me and following me around the yard. Although I wasn’t sure if she was going to peck me or just stand next to my feet. Then I noticed another chicken! Two chickens in my yard! Continue reading

It’s Written All Over Your Face

When you look at the photo attached, can you see three people or just one? Would you believe it is the same person (me), on the same day even though each of them looks totally different?! It’s like going to a family party and looking around the room. Each person has their own look, but you can tell they are related. I’m sharing this photo with you to demonstrate how different our feminine and masculine sides can be. Continue reading

Harmony Week

I woke up last night at 1.30am and couldn’t get back to sleep until about 4am. The only reason I didn’t get up to do some work on the computer was that is was so bloody cold! There were millions of thoughts flying around in my head. Setting up my market stall, getting a business logo made, hitting the study books to continue learning, updating my finances, when I will get a new car, setting up my new work space, building bookshelves, how will I attract new clients, decorating my office and stall, I really should eat better, what I will do first, those possums on the roof are noisy… the list goes on and on and on!
